Ok, guys, I´ve been messing around a bit with the physics for the F1-75 LE V.1.0 Mod (modding is very addictive
), and this is an ADDON to the F1-75 LE V.1.0 Mod which gives you an option to run the same cars as before but with modified physics WITHOUT overwriting any of your previous files.
It will show up as a whole new mod in your Mod Selection screen (Select Mod).
These cars are a bit faster on the straights but as their tires have a bit less grip your laptimes will be about the same as before and I hope that we can run some Funraces with it, preferably Full Gp´s and perhaps even use it in the up and coming F1-75 League too.
That said, IF you like these cars behavior and the fact that their new physics, pit menu and rFm makes them more realistic. The added Onboard Starter might also be a blessing for those of you that don´t use Autoclutch.
-----------------------
Physics changes compared to the F1-75 V.1.0 LE:
Less drag = higher top speeds and faster acceleration.
Tires have a bit less grip.
New Engine with an output of 485 bhp @ 10 600 rpm.
Engine and brake heating values have been adjusted.
-------------
Setup Window:
Refueling which was not used in F1 1975 is gone. So you have got to make sure that the amount of fuel that you start the race with is enough. And to make sure of that I have added 6 more liters of fuel capacity = 176 liter.
Added 1 more brake disc to cope with the higher top speeds.
I have also increased the Brake Pressure adjustment window in the Garage to 60 - 120 per cent to make sure that all of you can use the added brake disc.
-------------
Pitmenu:
Tire Changes:
As tire changes was not in use in F1 1975 other then to replace damaged tires it was not as smooth operation in those days as it is today and could often take more then 30s to accomplish. You can however still change all your tires in the pits during races but it will cost you a lot of time doing so, and I strongly recommend you NOT to do planned pitstops to change tires as I have increased the time it takes to change tires.
TireTime: 2 tires = 20s, 4 tires = 30s.
----------
Engine:
A new Engine with an output of 485 bhp @ 10 600 rpm.
Engine heating has been changed too so you will have to use at least 3 radiators during a race. You can use 2 radiators during Qualy at some tracks depending on their layout, but you will most often blow your engine due to overheating after a couple of laps if you do.
I´ve also added an Onbord Starter which I assume will please Mr.Snow.
---------
Brakes:
Brake heating have been changed so you will have to use at least 2 brake duct´s in races to avoid overheating them. You can however use 1 brake duct during Qualy at some tracks depending on their layout.
---------
rFm:
A new rFm which makes this Addon a whole new entry in the Mod selection.
New PitSpeed limits are set too 320 kph.
---------
Installation:
Unpack and drop the the two folders (GameData and rFm) into your regular rFactor directory.
(Usually found here: C:\Program Files\rFactor)
...
Start up rFactor and go to the Mod selection screen (Select Mod) and chose F1-75 V.1.0_LE_V2, and then buy the car you want to use and the Upgrades that you usually use too.
....
You WILL need to make a few changes to your V.1.0 setups to make them fit this Addon as the cars are about 20 kph faster on the straights now and the Engine and Brake heating values has been changed too, as I mentioned above. But that´s very easy as you only need to change into a slightly higher gearing and make sure to use at least 3 radiators and 2 brake ducts too during races.
Oh, and don´t forget to rename the setups too, ex: F1-75_LE_Oest70_Q2-2_V2

One problem
In my first pit exit, I see that my XDHud shows the brake discs in red.

Edit: Your right, and I´m on the motherfooker as Marsellus Wallace said in Pulp Fiction. Update/fix coming in a few minutes..
Edit2: Ok, BM solved the problem (as always) which was due the use of decimals. Thanks mate
....
The Download is available again now and those of you that already have Installed the V2 Addon NEED to Download and Install it once again
It´s only 318.88 KB, so it´s not the end of the world but I´m sorry about the inconvenience that I have caused you mates..

I would appreciate if you give me some feedback mates, and especially on the brakes, their heating, temps etc.. as I had to make changes (remove a couple of ,0) to those and after doing (only) that it seams as they does not heat up as much as supposed too.
They are within working range for me so from that point of view is everything hunky dory, but they where supposed to heat up a bit more and the heating values should perhaps be adjusted a bit.
The max temps before they overheat and fade is set to: Front = 950c, Rear = 750c.
Please let me know how you have set your brake balance too.

J.C are great!!!
It sounds very promising.
I did't tried it yet, but I think these modification will make the mode more "accurate".
Is any plan to use this new version for the championship?

Yes, we might do that if you guys want too. I personally think that this Addon is more accurate and that it feels nicer drive then the V.1.0 too, and that it would be fun to use these new physics this season as we´ve already have used the "old" ones the last two seasons.
But I need to get this brake heating "problem" figured out first of all and I think that I have nailed it now. I just need to do some further tests in x6 mode to find out how the heating and wear will turn out during a Full GP distance.

Ok, brake heating and stuff is starting to look a lot better now. The pic below is from the end of a Full GP distance (x6) @ Silverstone79. I did not push at 100 per cent, due to that I needed to end the stint, but I wasn´t cruising either.
I did however not abuse the tires or brakes quite as much as I usually do, but I did/could overheat them quite easily at the start of the stint (when I was trying too) but as the tires wears off the brakes does not take as much abuse as in the beginning of it.

I just need to run a couple of Full GP distances (x6) at a couple of other tracks too to get certain that everything works as it supposed too, and then I´ll Update the files.
------------------------------

Pic from last lap @ Kyalami70 (Full GP x6)
....

Last lap @Spa_88 (Full GP x6), pushing quite hard, but I had a bit too little DF on the car, hence the pretty slow laptimes..
....

Last lap @ MonteCarlo_88 (Full GP x6) pushing like mad, so the tires got pretty shoot. I just love this track, it´s awesome to drive with these cars.
Seams as I tricked the HUD thingy btw, by using Soft A´s at the Front and Hard A´s at the Rear.
It only says GoodYear Soft A..
I only got to run one low DF config track now to make sure that those also works out as supposed too and if it does, I´ll Update the Download at once.
....

The last Full GP (x6) stint at Oestereich70 went well too.

I´ve Updated the Download in the first post now as everything finally works as supposed too now, so those of you that already has Installed the old files need to Download and Reinstall them once again
There´s however no need to remove any files, just Unpack and drop the the two folders (GameData and rFm) into your regular rFactor directory and let overwrite the old files and your done.
Edit: Just refresh if MegaUpload says it´s not available at the moment, it WILL show up eventually.
MegaUpload is fooked like that sometimes for some odd some reason.

I tried the ADDON this evening offline @ 70kyalami and I like it!
the car is sharper, somehow distinct & bitchy at the same time
the update file is tiny and the update itself works smoothly, and … you dont overwrite the other version.
simply great! good job JC!
the don says: lets do the league with the ADDON_V2!
