As my modding passion progresses i want to make some nice ope wheel mods. I stumbled across the GP4 1982 mod and was impressed with the model quality (by: Pedro). So i got permission to officialy convert it.
The combination of technical and sporting regulations used during this season prompted many complaints about safety before and during the season. The season saw two fatalities and many serious accidents. The season started with a drivers’ strike at the first race of the season. Later in the season, the disagreement between the sport’s governing body and the teams re-started and many of the teams boycotted the San Marino Grand Prix.
The two main technological themes of the 1982 season were turbocharging and ground effect. The large automotive manufacturers could afford to develop the expensive new technology of turbocharging, which offered a significant power advantage over naturally aspirated engines. However, turbocharged engines were heavy and initially suffered from turbo lag, a delay between the operation of the throttle and the delivery of power. The Renault and Ferrari factory teams, together with the small privateer Toleman team, were the only ones to use turbocharged engines throughout the 1982 season.
Physics will be completely schratch built and in collaboration with BlackMagic we hope to make this mod good and with historic physics.
There is no cockpits atm so if you want to help on development of this mod dont hesitate to contact me (Luka). People with 3dmax knowledge are welcome too for mapping new graphics (engines).

the F1seventies guys (F1 1989 mod) joined us to make new cockpits. in exchange i will help them finish their physics so they can release the 89 mod

Hey guys!!!
I found your website via VirtualR as it posted some stuff of our mod.
I started some years ago modelling some of the 1982 cars in 3ds Max and collected therefore a lot of books, pictures and videos. If you need anything special, give me a call and I will see if I can help you.
My project became unfortunally to a standstill as it was planned for Drivers Republic or netKar Pro, which should include one day a car editor. Well, everybody knows the story...

Seriously...i'm a vintage F1 lover. F1 82 in rFactor was a dream for me. Last time for drive Gilles's car. Last year of ground effect. That season was tragic but fantastic at the same time. And I really hope in a good work. Do your best please.

We're certainly interested if u have any car specifications and cockpit photos
