This is a tutorial for dual or quad core processors running rfactor faster.

When installing rfactor it puts a shortcut on your desktop, but this is default to make rfactor start with only a single core of youre 2 or 4.
This tweak, will enable you to use all cores allowing rfactor to run much smoother than before.
Dual or quad cores are generally low ghz processors which, can make rfactor stutter when running on only one core.

The fix: Right click on rfactor shortcut & click properties.

It says "C:\Program Files\rFactor\rFactor.exe"

Add this to the end of the line: +fullproc

so the full target will be:
"C:\Program Files\rFactor\rFactor.exe" +fullproc

I hope this is helpful for those with FPS troubles with some mods and tracks,
I found this tweak sometime ago and want to share it here.

Let's hope it will speed up you're rfactor as well.

Uncels, I tried to add the +fullproc" at the end of the line... but, it keeps telling me that the target box is not valid. I tried deleating the " at the end of exe... but, still no go. What is wrong? It won't work for me.

No quote marks for the +fullproc tag and put a space after exe"
Like this...
"C:\Program Files\rFactor\rFactor.exe" +fullproc

The main thing you should get is a smoother experience.
Less jittering even with vsync.

Thanks for the update Kiro54.... That worked. I did notice a slight increase in FPS in the game.... but, only about 5-8fps , on the average. Track loading is definately much faster. I'm sure the game runs smoother with all 4 cores enabled..... but, just hard to really tell yet.

this is great tip!

thanks Uncels and Kiro.. I very often have suffred by fps problems.. on server I usually go with DX8, 16 bit, and set track and player details to High or Medium, just to avoid graphics card crashing..

I noticed also that track loads faster..

Will be this enough to run game on max settings now? I will make some tests to figure out..

my machine is an Atlon X2 Dual Core 2.6GHz with a Nvidia G-Force 9600 GT 512 MB and 256 bit and 4Gb RAM..

Man, what a great stuff... I am surprised such a silly and simple stuff can make this huge diference..

I tested a start with every graphic set on max, full grid, starting from the back.. did some laps and everything wents pretty smooth!!

need to test more tracks and cars and see if it keeps that way..

thank you guys! this is gold!

Here is an image of how to write.

But I do know that it works only with Intel Core not Quad.

it seemed to work with my Athlon processor, wich is Dual Core but not Intel.
